👋 Meet Rebecca
💔 She is a hunting dog that was abandoned and found wandering in Machairado. In her attempt to find food, she entered a chicken coop, where she became trapped. The farmer hearing the commotion, ran and managed to catch her and save most of his hens. She is thankfully in foster care and is now looking for a forever home.

🐾 Rebecca has a very soft character and she is very affectionate. She gets along great with cats and other dogs. She also walks very well on the lead. Rebecca would make a great companion!

💊 She has tested positive for Leishmania.
Leish is a disease dogs contract through being bitten by a sandfly which only exists in Mediterranean countries. Leish is controlled by daily medication, with early detection and being aware of symptoms being key to ensure it can be kept under control, as well to treat any possible relapses later on in life. A dog with leish can live totally normal and happy lives with the right treatment and knowledge.
