Ingor for Adoption 🐾 (prep fee covered)
Many of you were stocked and upset to see a dog in this condition.. Especially as he was an “owned” dog that had been literally starved almost to death !!!!
We were alerted to the fact that a dog was living under these shocking conditions in 2022…One of our brave volunteers Lela didnot hesitate to visit the house (please bear in mind volunteers take great risk on Zante in attending scenes like this because of reprisals)
Ingor was confiscated and was taken immediately to a vet where he underwent an examination and was blood tested for leishmania which he tested negative for.
So his condition is a result of starvation and neglect !!!!!
Since being in our care Ingor is doing very well he now weights 33 kilos !!!
He loves the volunteers and he is well behaved but he is a strong dog due to his size.. We would be looking for a home for him as the only pet in a house hold..
Ingor was born June 2016
If anyone is interested in offering this lovely boy a forever home please send us a private message..
💊 He has tested positive for Leishmania. Leish is a disease dogs contract through being bitten by a sandfly which only exists in Mediterranean countries. Leish is controlled by daily medication, with early detection and being aware of symptoms being key to ensure it can be kept under control, as well to treat any possible relapses later on in life. A dog with leish can live totally normal and happy lives with the right treatment and knowledge. Zante Strays support all of our leish dog adopters and will always offer support and guidance for as long as you may need it.
Please share a Ingor if any dog was in need of a forever home and a new start it is Ingor after all he has been through 🐾
