This is the sad Story of Castro…
This lovely boy has had a very sad life..
He was being “abused” by his owners.. Constantly tied up with no shelter by a short chain and not fed very often..
He was reported to the Zakynthos animal welfare (ZAWF another animal charity here on Zante). A volunteer from the charity went to witness the conditions that he was living in and was appalled at what they saw.. The “owners” were reported to the Police and eventually a court case was brought to trail.. We would like to point out that the brave Volunteers of ZAWF received several threats towards them personally from the “owners” of Castro if they went to court !!! Despite this the court case went ahead and the “owners” were eventually issued with a large fine..
Justice on this occasion was served..

Castro is now in a foster home where he is well cared for.. We are looking for a forever home for him where he can be properly looked after..
He is a lovely Boy and loves people despite his past treatment.
Castro was born January 2017 and is around 15 kilos in weight.
