Meet Lupo ?
This beautiful, older boy was abandoned on a mountain road in the North of the island. He waited patiently in the same place for 2 or 3 weeks, waiting for his owners to return – of course they never did. Kind local people left him food and water but nobody came forward to rescue him. Eventually tourists started arriving in the area and he found a kind family in a nearby villa to look after him while they were on holiday. He was so happy to be with them and live around the villa, but they had to leave and asked us to take him into our care. We treated a serious ear infection and several wounds on his body but he has recovered now. He was born approx 2013 and weighs about 32kg. He gets on well with other dogs, male and female, but has no patience with puppies or young, playful dogs and he is not trustworthy with cats! He enjoys walks, rides in the car and lots of fuss. He can be untrusting of some people at first, mostly men, and may need time to learn to trust them, which he has done in his foster home, but mostly he is a gentle, friendly boy who loves company and doesn’t like to be alone. He would be looking for a quiet home, with no young children, where he can have some nice walks and a chance to live out the rest of his years in peace and comfort with a lovely family of his own.
