Meet Riley.
He was found running around in argassi until a kind family took him in to foster him. We believe he must be a another dumped hunting dog. He is good with children, cats and dogs. Riley has hip dysplasia and he gets treatment for pain relief. He was born approximately 01.12.2018 and weighs around 17 kilos.
He has tested positive for Leishmania (Leish)
Leish is a disease dogs contract through being bitten by a sandfly which only exists in Mediterranean countries. Leish is controlled by daily medication, with early detection and being aware of symptoms being key to ensure it can be kept under control, as well to treat any possible relapses later on in life. A dog with leish can live totally normal and happy lives with the right treatment and knowledge.
