Meet Velvet (already in the UK)
Velvet was adopted when she was a young puppy back in 2016, but sadly was surrendered to us in June this year due to struggles at home with her behavior, predominantly destruction/separation anxiety.
Since arriving with her Fosterer, she has blossomed. She is living with 8 other dogs and has settled in extremely well, she has no problems with food guarding and she is very comfortable with both humans and dogs. Her Fosterer has not experienced any destruction or separation anxiety, but she has been active and has had company of other dogs and humans regularly which is what she needed.
She is happy to be taken to public places (pubs, cafes etc), and she walks well on the lead. She does enjoy chasing and hunting if she gets the chance so she is on a long line mostly, but has been let off her lead in secure fields and has come back no problem.
Velvet would benefit from having a home that has active adopters and at least 1 other dog. She loves activities and walking, and would need someone who is home most of the day. She will need a home with at least a 6ft fence as she can jump if she sees a bird and she has quite the jump on her!
Velvet weighs approximately 14kg and is a spaniel cross. This lovely girl has done so well in her foster home but it is time to find her her forever home so she can continue to thrive as she is currently.
